Privacy policy
In short: this website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools and does not embed content from social media platforms, Google Maps or Google Fonts. An external provider’s online booking system is only loaded if you consent. Otherwise, personal data is only processed where necessary to deliver the website and to handle your enquiries by email or phone.

2. Visiting the website and hosting
The website is delivered via the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data transmitted by your browser:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- page or file requested and amount of data transferred
- referrer (the previously visited page), if transmitted
- browser type, operating system and language settings
Purpose: delivering the website and ensuring its stability and security, in particular defending against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website).
Recipient: Cloudflare as processor.
Transfer to the USA: Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
Retention: data is kept only as long as necessary for these purposes.

3. Consent, cookies and online booking
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. Fonts and images are loaded directly from our website, not from third-party servers.
Consent management. To ask for your consent we use the Silktide Consent Manager, open-source software loaded directly from our website. Your choice is stored only in your browser’s local storage and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. Legal basis: § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (strictly necessary storage) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (proof of consent). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Online booking. For online booking we use the booking system of Zenchef SAS, 63 avenue de Villiers, 75017 Paris, France. Only once you consent do we load the system on our website. This transmits your IP address and technical data from your browser to Zenchef, which may use cookies, your browser’s local storage or similar technologies. We have disabled tracking via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics in the integration. When you book via Zenchef, your details (such as name, contact details, date, time, number of guests and notes) are processed by Zenchef and by us to handle the booking. For more information, see Zenchef’s privacy policy. The link “book directly on Zenchef” takes you to Zenchef’s booking page without loading anything on our website.
Purpose: online booking. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (consent) for loading the system; Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for handling the booking. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Without consent, you can still book by phone or email.
4. Contact and reservations
When you contact us by email or phone or book a table, we process the data you provide, such as name, email address, phone number, date, time and number of guests.
Purpose: handling your enquiry or reservation.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (reservations and pre-contractual steps) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering general enquiries).
Recipient: our email service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, as processor.
Retention: until your enquiry has been dealt with, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply.
Please do not send us health information by email. We are happy to discuss allergies or intolerances with you in person at the restaurant.
5. Links to other websites
Our website contains links, for example to OpenStreetMap. Data is only transmitted to these providers when you click the respective link. Their own privacy policies apply.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Please contact buero@daskritz.com.

7. Changes
We will update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes, for example if we introduce online booking or an Instagram feed.
